Nigel Bailey, Director of the newly-launched Wrightsure Insurance Group in Stockport, is passionate about the town centre and what it can offer.
“There is no doubt that the town is on the up,” Nigel said. “It has always had good transport links, but recent investment in wider facilities around the town is impressive.
“We are using the improving amenities as a part of the job offer to attract good people – it’s an important consideration for employees coming into town to work.”
Nigel added: “Stockport benefits from a strong business community – many of whom I know have campaigned for a better-invested town centre. We have definitely emerged from Manchester’s shadow in recent years and we are proud to be here and showcasing Stockport to the rest of the Wrightsure Group.”
Wrightsure Insurance Group is one of the largest privately-owned, Lloyds-registered insurance brokers in the UK.
Founded in 1975, it places over £60 million of client premiums annually into the UK insurance market. It serves thousands of clients with specialist schemes across many sectors and is the market leader within haulage and passenger transportation.
The new Stockport office will complement an established northern presence in Liverpool and Leeds and provide an enhanced service offering to exciting and prospective customers across the North West.
Wrightsure is already attracting business from Stockport and the wider Greater Manchester area. The plan is to reach £1 million turnover by the end of 2018 and in five years have a £3 million business employing ten professional brokers.
Nigel again: “We are very excited about the opportunities here. There is excellent potential to provide high quality brokerage services, especially as a number of competitors are now no longer serving the area.”
