National governing body for swimming in England, Swim England has relocated its Manchester office to Orbit Developments’ 2 City Approach in Eccles, Salford.

The group moved its northern office from Manchester’s Aquatic Centre in the city centre to City Approach in Eccles citing the easily accessible location as the main reason for the move.

Established in 1869, Swim England creates engaging swim programmes to encourage people of all ages to learn how to swim and develop healthy, active lifestyles. The group also offers memberships, actively promotes competitive swimming, run national events and offers a comprehensive range of swim courses and qualifications for teachers and tutors.

Divisional Office Manager for Swim England North West, Diane Stafford commented on the relocation:

“It was crucially important to us that our new office space would be easily accessible and close to the major link roads as the management team will be visiting regularly for board meetings.”

“2 City Approach is in an excellent location and not only meets our needs with easy access to motorways such as the M602 and M60, along with ample onsite parking, but also benefits from a transport hub on its doorstep offering Metrolink, train and bus services with routes across Greater Manchester.”

“The fact we can offer a number of transport options to clients and colleagues visiting the office is incredibly convenient and a real plus point.”

Leasing Director for Orbit Developments, Dean Richards commented on the deal:

“We have invested a lot of time and money into rebranding and repositioning City Approach within the market and highlighting the benefits of its location within Greater Manchester, so it’s rewarding to welcome such a highly regarded and national group such as Swim England into our portfolio.”

“The number of transport options in Eccles town centre is incomparable to anywhere else on the fringe of Manchester city centre and combined with the competitive rents and high specification accommodation at City Approach, it’s an obvious location for businesses needing to be situated near Salford, Media City and Manchester city centre.”

“We wish Swim England all the best with their new workspace.”
