That’s the view of Lauren Cottrall, owner of Stockporthairdressing salon Belle Amie, on Heaton Lane, who said today thatbusiness was up as a direct result of the SKone card, launched byStockport’s leading commercial landlord Orbit Developments.
“The SKone scheme has definitely helped my business,” saidLauren. “I think I have had at least 20 new customers come in fromOrbit’s Regent House office which is just a few doors down. It’sperfect promotion for me.”
Mobile hairdresser Candice Thornley, who specialises in hairextensions heard about the card through Belle Amie and has alsosigned up to the card. “After seeing the success Lauren hasreceived from placing an offer on the SKone card, I can’t wait toget my offers up there as well. Being in such a competitiveindustry means this free reward scheme is really valuable to me forpromoting my business.”
Soap Hairdressing on St Petersgate echoed the theme. Like BelleAmie they are offering 50% off a first visit using the card. OwnerStesanz Langner said he’s seen extra people through the door.”Anything which gets our name out there is fantastic.”
The card managed by Orbit Developments has attracted over 45local Stockport retailers with hairdressers, gyms, cake companiesand tea emporiums all keen to lure customers with special offersand discounts. What’s more it’s free for retailers and businessesto add an offer to the card.

Customers located in any of Orbit’s 12 properties in the centreof Stockport get the card free of charge when they take space – anadded value which is starting to prove its worth.
