Macclesfield FC, a phoenix club formed in 2020 following the winding up of Macclesfield Town, has quickly re-established itself as a rising force in English football. The team enjoyed a phenomenal 2024/25 campaign, securing promotion from the Northern Premier League Premier Division with an astonishing 35 wins out of 42 games. They clinched the league title by a dominant 26-point margin, earning a well-deserved place in the National League North—just two promotions away from the English Football League.
