Orbit Developments joins in the big Stockport run

Stockport’s largest commercial landlord and sponsor of LifeLeisure’s Big Stockport Run, Orbit Developments is extending itscommitment to the race by entering teams into the September event. 

Three teams will be running in aid of Millie’s Trust. They willjoin runners for the 10K course through Stockport on Sunday21st September.

Leading ‘Team Orbit’ is keen runner Claire Stott, marketingassistant at Orbit Developments. A member of Stockport runningclub, Bramhall Runners, Claire has raised over £1,000 for charityrunning in some of the region’s most popular races. She said: “I’mthrilled that so many of my colleagues are lacing up their trainersfor the run and raising money for such a good cause.

“Events like this have a fantastic atmosphere so we want theStockport community to come out and support the race, even if theyaren’t running.

“In Stockport town centre alone, we have twelve significantproperties and we are incredibly committed to the Borough’sbusinesses, residents and visitors. Events like the Big StockportRun helps showcase what Stockport has to offer and we are proud tobe part of that.”

Organised by Life Leisure and initially inspired by the LondonOlympics, the Big Stockport Run is in its third year and part ofStockport’s Big Event Series which includes a swim, walk and run.It aims to encourage more people in the Borough to participate insport and lead active and healthy lifestyles.

Sponsorship of the run is part of Orbit Developments’ £10, 000investment in three key events in the Borough ­- HeadlanderFestival, Life Leisure’s Big Stockport Run and the StockportBusiness Awards. The trio of sponsorships mark the commerciallandlord’s ongoing commitment to promote Stockport as a great placeto work, live and do business.
