Following on from last year’s inaugural event, Thursday 15November saw the 2nd Macclesfield & Wilmslow Business Awardstake place at De Vere Mottram Hall.
The awards committee were hoping this year’s awards would bejust as successful and it certainly didn’t disappoint.
285 people were in attendance including the Mayor of CheshireEast, Councillor George Walton, the Mayor of Macclesfield,Councillor Alift Harewood, as well as David Rutley MP. The eveningwas hosted by Andy Bailey from Cheshire’s Silk 106.9 and closedwith a raffle draw in aid of East Cheshire Hospice which raised afantastic £2,000. Former X Factor contestant, Marie Clare providedthe entertainment and guest speaker for the evening was businessmanClive Drinkwater, North West Regional Director for UKTI.
Orbit Developments sponsored the award for ‘Business of the YearTurnover £1m – £5 m’ which was awarded to global tape manufacturerJ Tape Limited due to their impressive growth in turnover over thelast year coupled with an astute knowledge of their globalcompetitors.
Over nine organisations in the local business communitycelebrated their achievement.
