Nordomatic moves into Cavendish House, Sale

Cavendish House in Sale has welcomed another major international occupier, with Nordomatic taking 7,265 sq. ft on the first floor.

The space, owned by Orbit Developments, which was fully refurbished last year to include a high‑spec boardroom, kitchen breakout area, modern office space and multiple meeting rooms—was quickly acquired, reflecting the strong demand for quality workspace in the area.

Nordomatic, a leader in smart building technology, helps organisations make their buildings smarter, greener and more cost‑efficient. Their arrival further strengthens Cavendish House’s reputation as a home for forward‑thinking, globally recognised companies.

Dean Richards, leasing Director at Orbit Developments commented:

“We are delighted to welcome Nordomatic to Cavendish House. They join an impressive roster of innovative tenants including Samsung, Thinc and Bentley Cohesive. Cavendish House has become a hub for advanced, tech‑driven companies, and we’re pleased to see that the recent refurbishment continues to attract such high‑calibre occupiers.”

Andrew Powell – Business Area Director, Nordomatic UK said “When searching for our new office, it was important to find a space that would provide a professional environment for both our employees and our customers. A convenient location with good local amenities, excellent motorway access, ample parking, and secure premises were all key considerations.

Since moving into the new office, our experience has been outstanding. The team was proactive in understanding our requirements and ensuring a seamless transition throughout the process. We now have a high-quality workspace that supports our operations today and provides the capacity to achieve our ambitious growth plans for the future.”

Sale: One of the UK’s Best Places to Live – and Now a Magnet for Business

The Sunday Times named Sale one of the Best Places to Live in 2023, describing it as a Trafford town “finally emerging from the shadow of Altrincham.” Long known for its excellent schools, strong transport links and proximity to green spaces such as Sale Water Park, the town has evolved into a destination in its own right.

The transformation of Stanley Square—now home to independent bars, cafés, restaurants and boutique retailers—has injected new energy into the area. Sale is no longer simply a commuter town; it offers its own vibrant lifestyle, attracting both residents and businesses seeking a dynamic, well‑connected location.

A Growing Cluster of International Companies

Cavendish House is now home to several major international firms, reinforcing Sale’s growing status as a business destination:

Nordomatic – Founded in Sweden in the 1960s, now the Nordic region’s leading independent partner for smart building automation and energy‑efficiency solutions, with strong operations across Sweden, Denmark and Norway.

Samsung – A global household name originating in Korea in the 1930s, recognised worldwide for its technology, electronics and innovation.

Bentley Cohesive – Part of Bentley Systems, a global leader in infrastructure software. The Cohesive Companies specialise in digital transformation and now operate in more than 50 countries.

Thinc – A UK‑founded technology provider headquartered at Cavendish House, offering cutting‑edge financial software, ERP systems, managed IT support, cybersecurity and cloud solutions. With offices in Bedford, Newcastle and Canada—and plans for London and the US—Thinc continues to expand rapidly.

Dean Richards added:

“The momentum we’re seeing across Sale and Greater Manchester right now is undeniable.  More international companies are choosing to invest in the area. It’s great to see the building attracting organisations with such global reach and ambition, and it reflects the confidence in what Sale has to offer.”

Nordomatic, already established in Sale, chose to remain in the town centre — an excellent proposition for office occupiers. Its proximity to both the city centre and the airport, combined with immediate access to Junction 7 of the M60 and three Metrolink stops, provides outstanding connectivity for businesses.

This continued growth at Cavendish House reflects a wider shift across Sale and Greater Manchester: ambitious, innovative companies are choosing to invest here.

With strong transport links, a thriving town centre and a growing cluster of global businesses, Sale is firmly establishing itself as a destination for organisations seeking both quality office space and long‑term opportunity. Cavendish House is proud to play a central role in that story.
