Cash for Kids is a non-profit grant giving charity, supporting underprivileged children affected by poverty, abuse, neglect, life-limiting illness and other additional needs. The charity is based in 22 areas across the UK. In 2021, Cash for Kids raised £21.4 million, supporting 548,103 children across the UK, with aims this year to exceed this total.
Cash for Kids have begun preparation for their annual project Mission Christmas, landing an impressive 17,777 square foot HQ, taking the entire ground floor at Orbit Developments Park Square Campus. The space will allow daily visitors, from companies or individuals, who will assistant in the sorting, wrapping and delivering of donations to children in need all across the country. This year the list of volunteers has been so long the charity have a waiting list for people wishing to help.
Mission Christmas is about giving every child a sprinkle of the Christmas spirit. Due to the current economic climate and electricity prices rapidly on the rise, “Heat” or “Eat” is the reality for many families this winter, leaving Christmas out of the question for them. It is Cash for Kids mission to offer help to all of the families that they can this year.
Park Square will help Cash for Kids by providing a space over twice the size they have had before, with a private entrance for gift donations and volunteers to come and go. The campus benefits from a newly refurbished café that will be open to the Cash for Kids staff and volunteers throughout the duration of their stay.

Rhys Owen, Leasing Director at Orbit says, “It is a pleasure to be able to assist Cash for Kids reaching their 2022 goal for Mission Christmas. Mission Christmas is a project I’ve personally wanted to get involved with for a while now.” He adds, “We are hoping to see generous donations made from the gift drop-off points set up throughout our selected wider portfolio across South Manchester.”
There are many ways to contribute towards Mission Christmas, from volunteering to cash or gift donations. Collection points have been set up in various locations across the UK, which can be found using the ‘Find a Gift Drop-off’ on the Cash for Kids website. Orbit Developments have also set up their own collection points in a selection of their larger buildings to encourage customers to donate.
