Loungers bring laid-back dining to Middlebrook

Middlebrook continues to expand its food offer with Loungers ‘Blanco Lounge’, a brand-new café-bar which opened on the 8th January.

Loungers, known for its relaxed, all day café bar concept offers an inviting space for everything from breakfast, brunch, lunch and relaxed dinners and drinks.  The café-bar is situated between Wagamamas and the recently opened Wingstop.  This addition compliments the existing mix of eateries at Middlebrook.

Alex Kalebic, Head of Acquisitions, Loungers, says: “We are excited to open a site in one of the UK’s largest out of town shopping parks, building on the existing successes we have had elsewhere in the UK at Fosse Park, Rushden, The Springs and York Vanguard.

“It has been great working with the team at Orbit Developments on the construction of this stand-alone restaurant unit in the heart of the Middlebrook scheme amongst other established restaurant operators.”

Mark Hanna from Orbit Developments said “We are really pleased to welcome Loungers to Middlebrook.  Their unique café bar concept adds another level to our current dining options and we’re delighted to be expanding the variety of food offerings with something different for visitors.  It’s exciting to see Middlebrook continue to grow as a leisure destination

Loungers was founded in 2002 by three friends who wanted to create a neighbourhood café bar, combining elements of a restaurant, British pub and coffee shop cultures. There are now around 230 lounges nationwide with plans to open many more in the future.

The new venue is open from 9am to 10pm and also features outdoor seating to enjoy when the weather permits.

Middlebrook has seen a number of new signings over the last 12 months including Five Guys, Las Iguanas, and Wingstop which have all been very popular with retailers.

Food outlets already established include Wagamama’s, Pizza hut, Nandos and fast-food outlets, Subway, KFC and McDonalds as well as local eatery Carrs Pasties.

Middlebrook is also one of three retail parks owned and managed by Orbit Developments within the Bolton area. Other retail parks in Orbit’s property portfolio include Central Retail Park and Burnden Park, both within a 5-minute drive of Bolton town centre.
