Activa Advertising and Design celebrated an eight-year anniversary at Orbit Development’s Regent House this month saying staying put for so many years was all about location and ease of access.
Ron KirwIn and business partner Chris Shaw have been in thebuilding since 2006 offering a flexible range of marketing andadvertising services. Proximity to the M60 and good rail links havemade it easy for client visits and to get out and about.
“Over the years we’ve worked for a huge range of businesses across the North West, as well as local businesses including Edward Mellor, Alexander Windows and the Smith Knight Fay group in Stockport” said Ron, “and this has been a very convenient base to work from. It is handy for us and our employees to be close to the town centre and all that is going on.”
Since Activa’s arrival Regent House has undergone significant investment with Orbit Developments creating a business hub on the 11th floor and a totally refurbished main reception area on the ground floor.
Ron said: “They have improved things around us. It is great to have the Business Hub just down the corridor and use of its meeting room services.
“The recent new entrance and main reception areas have given our business a professional front when we have invited our clients over. But it still has a friendly feel.”
Ron and Chris set the business up back in 1998 and although they have seen some major changes across the advertising and marketing industry since then, their core business remains strong.
Ron again: “The focus is so much more on social media and integrated campaigns, but we still get plenty of people wanting creative work, design and print. Life may be increasingly online, but not exclusively so. The key is to offer a menu of services and then people choose what they want, including strategic marketing input when required.”
The company has been on the 11th floor of Regent House for the last eight years and kept going throughout that time, in spite of the credit crunch in 2008 which hit the industry hard.
“Like all businesses we’ve been through our lean times but the signs for 2015 look a lot more positive and we’re keen to help businesses in Stockport and beyond take advantage of the improving economic conditions.”
Tony Jones, Managing Director of Orbit Developments, said that Activa Advertising had seen a lot of positive change in eight years.
“It’s good to see creative businesses in the town centre – they are ideally placed to help all sorts of businesses on their doorstep. We congratulate them on their milestone and wish them many more years of success.”
