Fourth expand and relocate to Tytherington Business Park

Fourth who are the world’s leading provider of cloud-based cost control solutions to the hospitality industry have doubled their office space with Orbit Developments relocating to 8,205 sq ft on the second floor of Greenway House, Tytherington Business Park.

Established in 1999, Fourth was the brain child of serial restaurateurs Derek and Edwina Lilley for hospitality professionals. The duo were acutely aware of the fragmented nature of the hospitality sector and developed a variety of software products that could help these businesses gain maximum control over their two key costs – labour and stock. Fourth products comprise of labour, stock, analytics, payroll and auto enrolment.

Fourth have been growing their Payroll Bureau with landlords Orbit Developments in Macclesfield since day one, starting out in the business centre at Beechfield House on Lyme Green Business Park and moving to the adjacent building Winterton House in 2010 taking 4,478 sq ft on a 5 year lease.

The company has transitioned through a huge growth period since their first inception. Fourth’s new base at Greenway House will provide office space for up to 150 staff. Fourth now have over 1,000 customers in 57 countries including many global brands such as Pizza Express, Jamie’s Italian, Travelodge and Fullers to name but a few.

The company prides itself on employee investment and their ‘Payroll Academy’ has successfully transformed over 30 local people with no prior payroll experience into qualified and experienced Payroll Specialists and sponsored over 60 people to study with the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals.  The CIPP recognise and are active promoters of Fourth’s academy as a result of their commitment to developing skilled professionals in the industry.

In addition to this, health and wellbeing is important to Fourth and the management team have noticed a positive change as part of the move. Local amenities, a spacious break out area as well as fresh fruit supplied weekly encourages the team to get away from their screens at lunchtime, which has in turn led to increased productivity and employee happiness.
