A company specialising in retrieving customer compensation fordelayed flights has become the latest business to move in to OrbitDevelopments’ Regent House.

UK Flight Delay retrieves compensation for customers who haveexperienced a three hour or more delay flying from, or returningto, an EU airport.

The start-up company, which was launched last month by entrepreneurChris O’Hare, has been set up to help consumers gain access tocompensation that many don’t realise they are entitled to,following a ruling in 2004 that means passengers on delayed flightscan claim money back. The launch coincides with recent courtjudgements that have backed consumer rights over flight delays andcould pave the way for even more successful claims.

Chris explains: “It’s estimated that there is around £6.5billion ofunclaimed compensation in the UK due to delayed flights, butunsurprisingly the airlines aren’t promoting the fact that peoplecan claim. 

“We are helping customers access the compensation they are entitledto on a no win, no fee basis.  Although we’re a small businessat the moment we’re ambitious, which is one of the reasons we choseRegent House and Orbit Developments.

“We were looking for a flexible deal in a building that isconveniently located and provides a great first impression. The recent refurbishment of Regent House’s reception area does justthat.  We also have easy access to the Business Lounge, whichis great for meeting and break out work areas.”
