Creating Space for Success: MS Lending Group Expands at Sandfield House, Wilmslow

Fast-growing specialist finance business MS Lending Group has continued its impressive growth journey with the acquisition of an additional 4,391 sq. ft wing at Sandfield House in Wilmslow, further cementing the company’s commitment to the Northwest and its people-first culture.

Founded in 2021 by Michael and Alexandra Stratton after identifying a gap in the bridging finance market, MS Lending Group has experienced remarkable growth in just a few short years. What began as a single room in Barons Court has evolved into a thriving business that has funded more than £600 million in lending and established itself as one of the UK’s fastest-growing specialist finance providers.

The company first made Sandfield House its home by taking occupation of the ground floor east wing, transforming the space into a vibrant and welcoming workplace designed around collaboration, wellbeing and performance. The office reflects the culture that sits at the heart of the business – professional yet personable, ambitious yet supportive. Staff are even joined by Bruno, the firm’s much-loved “Head of Happiness”, whose daily presence helps boost morale and create a positive working environment.

Following continued expansion, MS Lending Group has now taken an additional 4,391 sq. ft within the recently refurbished west wing of Sandfield House, further strengthening its presence within the landmark office building owned and managed by Orbit Developments.  The new space has been designed to support the company’s ongoing growth and future ambitions, featuring a state-of-the-art amphitheatre-style training room, a dedicated podcast studio, breakout kitchen facilities, private pods and contemporary booth seating areas. The new environment will provide employees with enhanced opportunities for learning, collaboration and innovation as the business continues to scale. The expansion marks another milestone in MS Lending Group’s growth journey and reflects the flexibility of Sandfield House in accommodating businesses as they evolve.

James Nicholson, Leasing Surveyor at Orbit Developments, commented:”It’s been great working with Michael, Alexandra and the team as the business has grown over the last few years. When they needed more space, we were able to help them expand within Sandfield House, which means they can stay in a location that works well for both their staff and clients. They’ve created a really impressive working environment, and we’re pleased to have played a part in helping them make it happen.”

For founders Michael and Alexandra, choosing Sandfield House and Wilmslow was a strategic decision. While specialist lending remains a predominantly London-centric industry, they recognised the importance of creating a headquarters that offered excellent connectivity for both employees and industry partners while remaining rooted in the Northwest.

“Wilmslow is home to us, it’s the only place I could ever imagine growing this business,” said Michael Stratton, co-founder of MS Lending Group. “I love the people here and the spirit of the town; there’s an ambition and a warmth to this community that reflects exactly what we’ve tried to build at MS Lending Group. Every time we’ve grown, it’s felt right to grow here.”

Wilmslow’s direct location on the London Euston rail line means the capital can be reached in around two hours, making it convenient for meetings with banking partners, investors and clients. At the same time, the town offers exceptional accessibility for employees travelling from across the region. Sandfield House is just a 10-minute walk from Wilmslow railway station and benefits from excellent road connections, sitting moments from the A34 and within easy reach of the M56, M60 and A555 Airport Relief Road.

The flexibility of Sandfield House also played an important role in MS Lending Group’s decision to expand within the building. While the office space already featured high-quality breakout areas, kitchens and meeting rooms, the company was able to reconfigure the layouts to create spaces tailored to its specific operational needs and culture. The result is a bespoke workplace that feels less like a traditional office and more like a home-from-home for its growing team.

The expansion comes at a particularly exciting time for the business. MS Lending Group has continued to deliver record-breaking results, announcing milestone funding achievements, forging new lending relationships with institutions including Pollen Street and Hampshire Trust Bank, and achieving its fastest funding speeds on record in April 2026. These accomplishments highlight the strength of the company’s proposition and the increasing demand for its specialist lending solutions.

With a growing team, an expanding footprint at Sandfield House and a series of landmark business achievements behind it, MS Lending Group’s latest move represents another significant step in what has been an exceptional growth story. As the company looks ahead to the next phase of its journey, its continued investment in people, workspace and innovation ensures it is well positioned for further success.
