Click Finance, a specialist brokerage providing secured and unsecured loans up to £100,000, has moved into Stockport town centre from Hazel Grove to better serve its growing customer base from a more easily accessible and central location.
The company has taken 1400 sq ft on the 9th floor of Orbit Developments’ flagship property Regent House, citing access to a high-quality talent pool for future recruitment as one of the main drivers of the move.
“Our people are important to us,” said Managing Director Matt Meacham.
“We are very keen on developing staff, giving them a clear view of a long-term career with us and investing in qualifications to get them there.
“We also knew that a town centre location would attract more people with the quality of skills and experience we needed. And of course they could get here easily.”
Excellent transport links in and out of the town centre and Regent House’s proximity to rail and bus stations also had an influence on the move.
Six new people have joined the company since February. The firm has also gained a new Investors in People accreditation and been shortlisted as Best Company to Work For in the Credit Strategy Awards 2017.
Click Finance provides tailored loan packages from a panel of established UK lenders and has seen strong year-on-year growth since 2012 thanks largely to a bespoke loan sourcing software programme, an excellent lead generation strategy and an uncompromising approach to treating customers fairly – with the programmes and strategies all handled and designed in house.
“It is key to everything we do,” said Matt. The company is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
Preferred lending partners include Stockport-based Together, Shawbrook, Avant Credit and moneyway and the plan is to expand into mortgages and insurance protection in the future.
Matt again: “The move into Regent House will help us achieve our ambitions and gives us the opportunity to grow within the building or alternatively move into more space within one of Orbit’s other town centre properties.
“It’s a professional environment – smart fit out and impressive main reception – to welcome existing and future lending partners and for our team to work in.
“Our staff are also enjoying the range of amenities on our doorstep – both for grabbing a bite to eat at lunch or after work or doing a bit of shopping.”
Orbit Developments’ Leasing Director Rhys Owen commented:
“Employee amenity is becoming more and more important for businesses in order to recruit and retain quality staff, so it’s encouraging to see business owners recognise this and choose to relocate from the suburbs into the town centre and benefit from the redevelopments and improvements to the retail and leisure offer.”
“Every business that chooses Stockport town centre as a place to base their business is helping to drive and support the local economy through increased footfall and spend in our local cafes and independent retailers so we’re very pleased to welcome Matt and his team to Regent House and wish them all the best for the future.”
