We’re proud to celebrate Ayodele Shonibare—affectionately known as Shonny—who was recognised during Black History Month for his contribution to the local community in Manchester.
As Building Manager at Gawsworth House, located in Crewe Business Park, Ayodele has been part of Emerson Management Services for nearly a decade. His consistent dedication, and infectious positivity, have made him a popular figure among colleagues, tenants, and partners alike. Whether it’s ensuring the smooth operation of the building or going the extra mile to support others, Shonny embodies the spirit of service and excellence that defines our organisation.
Ayodele’s influence extends well beyond his role at Emerson. Outside of work, he dedicates his time to coaching young athletes at the Manchester Regional Athletics Arena, working with children and teens aged 9 to 18. His guidance goes beyond physical training—he helps instill confidence, discipline, and a strong sense of purpose. Many of those he’s mentored have gone on to chase their ambitions both on the track and in life, with Ayodele’s support serving as a steady source of motivation. His impact hasn’t gone unnoticed: he was nominated by a parent of one of his athletes, a testament to the meaningful role he plays in
the community.
