Bolton is the largest town in the UK with a population of over 260,000. Situated 10 miles northwest of Manchester, it is ideally located and has excellent transport connections making it a popular place to base a business.
Bolton is a well known as a town for business and is home to the UK’s largest family bakery, Warburtons. It is also home to AO.com who started their business in Bolton 20 years ago, their head office is still located in Bolton at Orbit’s Parklands development.
The town is the chosen location for many call centre, hi-tech electronic and IT companies but also retains traditional industries, employing people in paper manufacturing, packaging, textiles and building materials. In 2003, Bolton was granted Fairtrade Town status which recognises it as a centre of business, something which continues to benefit companies of all sizes based in the town today.
Our office space near the town centre range from both managed and traditional office space at The Valley, just off the A666, to Orlando Bridge just a 3-minute walk from Bolton’s railway station. In and around the town centre there are a wealth of amenities including gyms, cafés, restaurants and bars, cinemas and two indoor shopping centres. The area is also well served by supermarkets including Morrisons, ASDA, Sainsbury’s and Aldi.

The journey to Manchester city centre is only 25 minutes by car and Preston is only 17 miles away via the M61 motorway. Bolton benefits from a superb public transport system with Bolton Train Station serving Blackpool, Preston, Bolton, Manchester City Centre and Manchester airport. The town is also well served by regular bus services to the surrounding towns including Wigan, Blackburn and Chorley. The Premier Inn and Bolton Whites Hotel are both within walking distance. The Whites Hotel provide conference facilities as does Bolton Arena which also offers a gym and various sporting activities. The iconic Bolton Wanderers football stadium is also located at Middlebrook. Quite simply, Middlebrook has something for everyone.
Situated less than 5 miles from Bolton town centre and adjacent to Junction 6 of the M61 motorway Middlebrook is superbly situated for recruiting and employing office staff from across the region. It also has its own Railway Station, Horwich Parkway, with direct services to Blackpool, Preston Bolton, Manchester City Centre and Manchester airport. With regular bus services into Bolton and other surrounding towns such as Wigan and Chorley it makes Middlebrook an easily accessible and exciting place to work.
