Orbit Developments have teamed up with East Cheshire Hospice andBlythe House Hospice for a brand new fundraising challenge – Hikethe Hill.
Fundraisers at the Macclesfield hospice are hosting a 15mile hike from the Millbank Drive Hospice, up and over thePeak District to Blythe House in High Peak.
Fundraiser Lara Rigby said “The Hike is a real challenge and weare really excited about it. The route has been mapped out by anexperienced walker and will take around seven-and -a-half hours tocomplete, and takes a beautifully picturesque route through theHigh Peak’s rolling hills. You do need to be a good walker to takepart in this event but it is a great opportunity to challengeyourself and support a local charity without having to travel veryfar”.
Rachel Damms, of Blythe House Hospice, said: “This is a reallyexciting venture for both hospices and here at Blythe House we arereally looking forward to the Hike. It is challenging, however, that promises to be well worth the effort for experiencedwalkers”.
The 15-mile trek will take place on September 11 and theregistration for the event opens today, Wednesday, June 8.
Orbit Developments are sponsoring the event itself and so allsponsorship raised will go directly to supporting the work of eachhospice. Entry costs £10.
