In light of the rapidly evolving situation regarding the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID 19), we would like to update you on the current approach to mitigate the potential impact on customer service and to minimise the risks the virus poses to our colleagues, customers and contacts.
We continue to monitor the advice of the Government and Public Health England, reviewing and updating our plans accordingly. In response to new advice however, we have moved to a temporary position of home working for all our Orbit office-based employees, as we look to maintain a consistency of service provision and protect the health and wellbeing of all our staff, customers and contacts.
Following the Government’s new rules around social distancing and to protect both our customers and employees, we have had to reduce services across our buildings.
We do still have a number of customers, including the NHS, that need to continue to operate in our spaces, so these buildings will remain open to them through secure access. Whilst they are there, the Orbit and Emerson Management Services teams will be following the strictest guidelines and are working hard to keep things running safely and securely.
As we are all working remotely and as the situation progresses, we will keep the lines of communication open. Existing customers, contacts and suppliers can get in touch with us through our Orbit team listed here.
Phone: Everyone in Orbit can be contacted by phone, either via their usual direct dial or work mobile phones.
Emails: Our email systems are all working as normal, but should we experience any downtime with our servers all members of staff can access their emails via the internet, so communication here is undisrupted.
In person: Given Government advice, we will not be accepting visitors in any of our offices. To support social distancing, we have also postponed all events until the current situation becomes more certain.
As you know, the current situation is changing all the time and the planned Government daily briefings will mean that we will need to remain flexible and respond quickly as needed. We will do our best to keep you updated.
